Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you (the individual or business subscribing, "you") and CHIC EXPERT LTD, a company trading as "ReceptionIQ" ("ReceptionIQ", "we", "us"). CHIC EXPERT LTD is the seller and provider of the ReceptionIQ service. By creating an account, subscribing, or continuing to use the service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
1. Payment processor
Payment processing for ReceptionIQ is handled by Stripe, Inc. CHIC EXPERT LTD is the seller and provider of the service; Stripe processes payments securely on our behalf.
This means CHIC EXPERT LTD is the seller of record for every purchase. Stripe takes payment, issues your invoice or receipt, and manages payment-related mechanics such as renewals, cancellations, refunds of the payment transaction, and fraud prevention. You may manage your subscription, payment method and invoices from the Billing page inside your ReceptionIQ account or through Stripe's customer portal. Your purchase is also subject to Stripe's Services Agreement for End Users.
2. The service
ReceptionIQ is a subscription software-as-a-service platform that uses artificial intelligence to answer customer messages, capture leads and book appointments on your behalf across a website widget and connected messaging channels including WhatsApp Business, Instagram and Facebook Messenger, with optional calendar sync.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and, where you subscribe for a business, authorised to bind that business.
- You must provide accurate account and business information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, including that of team members you invite to your workspace.
- You must notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access.
4. Subscription and billing terms
Payment, invoicing, tax and billing mechanics are handled by Stripe on behalf of CHIC EXPERT LTD. Full detail is set out in our Billing & Subscription Terms. In summary:
- Plans are billed monthly in advance at the price shown at checkout, plus any applicable tax.
- Current plans are Starter ($29/month), Growth ($59/month) and Business ($99/month).
- The exact amount, currency and tax are confirmed on the Stripe checkout screen before you pay.
- Upgrades apply immediately and are pro-rated; downgrades apply from your next billing period.
- Prices may change on at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.
5. Free trials
Every paid plan starts with a 3-day free trial. The trial length, the price and date of the first charge, and the fact that the subscription converts automatically into a paid, auto-renewing subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends, are disclosed on the checkout screen before you confirm. You may cancel at any time during a trial to avoid being charged.
6. Automatic renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically each month on your billing date, at the then-current price, until you cancel. Stripe charges your saved payment method on each renewal without further action by you.
You may cancel at any time from the Billing page in your account or via Stripe's customer portal. Cancellation prevents all future charges; your plan remains active until the end of the period already paid for, and no further access or pro-rated fee applies after that date except as described in the Refund Policy. If a payment fails, Stripe retries the charge and, if it remains unpaid, the subscription is cancelled and paid features are disabled.
7. Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first payment: request a refund within 30 days of that payment and it is refunded in full. Refunds are processed by CHIC EXPERT LTD and can be requested by emailing billing@receptioniq.com. Renewal charges, service-failure credits and exclusions are described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its payment partners on behalf of CHIC EXPERT LTD. Card and bank details are entered directly into Stripe's PCI-DSS compliant checkout and are never stored on or transmitted through ReceptionIQ servers. We receive only the subscription status, plan, customer identifier and country needed to provision your account. Accepted payment methods, currencies and any local methods are shown at checkout by Stripe. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.
9. Your responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain any consents required to message your own customers, and comply with applicable marketing, telecoms and data protection law.
- Tell your customers that an AI assistant may handle their messages.
- Ensure the business content, knowledge base and pricing you upload is accurate and lawful, and that you have the right to use it.
- Comply with the platform policies of Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger) and Google for any channel you connect.
- Review AI output before relying on it, and use the human takeover controls where a conversation needs a person.
- Keep your billing details current so renewals succeed.
10. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not permit anyone else to:
- Send unsolicited bulk or spam messages, or breach WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger or other platform policies.
- Use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, hateful or harmful purposes.
- Upload or generate content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.
- Impersonate another business or present the AI as a licensed medical, legal, financial or other regulated professional.
- Attempt to jailbreak, manipulate or misuse the AI to produce prohibited content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense or redistribute the service, or circumvent usage limits, rate limits or security controls.
- Probe, scan, overload or interfere with the service, its APIs or its infrastructure, or introduce malware.
We may remove or restrict content, filter or refuse AI outputs, and suspend accounts to enforce this section.
11. Your content and data
You retain ownership of your business content and of the conversations conducted through your workspace. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and transmit that content solely to provide, secure and support the service. For personal data about your own end customers you act as data controller and we act as processor on your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Intellectual property
The ReceptionIQ platform, software, models configuration, documentation, design, trade marks and branding are and remain the property of CHIC EXPERT LTD and its licensors. Subject to payment and these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the service within your subscribed plan for your internal business purposes. No other rights are granted. Subject to third-party rights and your own responsibility for inputs, as between you and us you own the outputs generated for your workspace. If you believe content on the platform infringes your rights, contact us at support@receptioniq.com and we will investigate and remove infringing material; repeat infringers are terminated.
13. AI output
Replies are generated automatically by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular situation. Output is not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing AI output and for any commitment made to your customers on your behalf. Human takeover controls are provided so your team can step into any conversation.
14. Third-party platforms
Meta and Google integrations are governed by those providers' own terms. We are not responsible for their outages, rate limits, pricing, policy changes or actions taken against your accounts.
15. Availability and support
We work to keep the service available but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Planned maintenance and emergency fixes may cause downtime. Support is provided by email during business days; billing support is provided by CHIC EXPERT LTD.
16. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, in whole or in part, where there is: material breach of these Terms, non-payment after Stripe's retry period, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violation of section 10 or of a connected platform's policies. Where practical we give notice and an opportunity to remedy. On termination your right to use the service ends immediately; you may export your data for 30 days, after which workspace data is deleted in line with our Privacy Policy. Accrued payment obligations, and sections 11–14, 17, 18 and 19, survive termination.
17. Warranty disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of AI output, or that the service will meet your requirements or operate without interruption or error.
18. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost goodwill or lost or corrupted data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the service in that period. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
19. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold harmless CHIC EXPERT LTD against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your use of the service in breach of these Terms or applicable law, or your failure to obtain required consents from your own customers.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms and will post the revised version on this page with a new date, and notify you by email of material changes before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you in your country of residence. Purchases are additionally subject to the terms of Stripe, Inc. as the payment processor.
22. General
You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Billing & Subscription Terms and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between us.
